 Chief Barise- Chairperson Network of Teachers The Network was formed at the request of teachers who were participants at the training workshop & launch of the Protect our Future Peace & Civic Education Project in Port Harcourt from 29th March – 1st April 2007. The Network will be a forum for sustainability of the project. It facilitates constant sharing of ideas and good practice. It provides an opportunity for continuation of series of discussion that started at the workshop and for further training. The participants elected a steering committee to pilot the affairs of the Network. The following are the members of the steering committee: - Chief Barisi Kpeama - C.S.S Biara
- Mr. Sabstain Anyalechi - C.S.S.S. Rumuokwurushi
- Mrs. Vicotira Anurike - C.F.A.N.C Port Harcourt
- Mrs. E. S. Williams - I.C.H.S. Rumuobiakani
- Mrs. Judith Ukwueme - S.P.S.S Ahoada
 Mr. Akara Barine - Coordinator of 2nd Group of Teacher Network At the second training of teacher in Port Harcourt 20th – 23rd September 2007. The teachers present at that training decided to join the Network. Chief Barisi Kpeama the chairperson of the Network was present to explain the functions of the Network to the teachers. However, the teachers present decided to form a steering committee of their group to coordinate their activities. The teachers elected were as follows: - Mrs Mey, Ogbanga - Community secondary school
- Mrs. Rose Kykang - community Model sec school Borokiri
- and Mr. Nkara Barine - Community secondary school Bori
The next phase is the consolidation of the two groups and a training workshop. |
